A couple of months ago I got introduced to the gorgeous and handy Page Anchor. For those who are not familiar with this at all, a Page Anchor is a thingy in the shape of an anchor that you can slide in your book. The purpose of this being that the book stays open and you can read handsfree. Sounds good, doesn’t it?!
This product was created by Markus, when he was a student it frustrated him when his coursebooks kept closing while trying to make notes (which is something I remember happening too, I used to put heavy things on my books to provide it from closing… not ideal). This is how the idea for a Page Anchor came to him.
It’s not just handy for when you’re studying though. For me, personally, I like to use it in the mornings when I eat my breakfast. One of the struggles that I always had, was wanting to read during breakfast but not being able to because I just didn’t have enough hands. Well, those days are over! I can now read, without any problems or irritation, when I’m munching on my breaky. Or when I want to snack at night and I do not want to get my book dirty.
Books can be really heavy. And it can be very tiring if you have to hold a book open the whole time. Another situation where the Page Anchor comes in very handy. You could just put your heavy book on your lap and be lazy. Something that I haven’t used the Anchor for, but what also sounds like a good plan, is using while cooking or baking. On the unusual moments where I bake, I usually use a recipe from some sort of baking book. But, the annoying person that I am, I cannot stand to get my book dirty. Which is very difficult when you are baking… Also very annoying, when the book doesn’t stay open. Well, next time I’m baking, I’m using my Anchor.
You might wonder, how does it work? Well, it’s very simple. You can just slide the Anchor between the pages. And then slide it up a bit when you want to turn the page. That’s it really. It also comes with a little instruction leaflet.
So there you have it, lots of ways in which this product can be very handy. But that is just part of the reason why I love it. Like the title suggests, it’s not just handy, it’s also very gorgeous. I use it on my Bookstagram as a prop quite often now. It’s just a stunning product. They have two different versions. The Winter Platinum one and the Signature Gold one. The Winter Platinum version is made with a platinum finish and the Signature Gold one is made with a 14K goldplated finish. They are very good quality, and it really feels like a fancy thing to have. Also because of the nice packaging. When you open a Page Anchor it kind of feels like Christmas. It comes with a little pouch and a cleaning cloth.
Pricewise, I would say Page Anchor is not cheap. But then again, I don’t think it’s very expensive either. More somewhere in between. Both cost 45 euros, which in my opinion is a reasonable price. If you want it cheaper though, you can use my discount code OHMY15 to get 15% off.
Well, I can definitely recommend getting one of these. And I also think it would make a fantastic Christmas present for any book lover out there.
